Cool Chile Co’s salsa macha is a unique Mexican condiment with a spicy, nutty flavour. Often used as a topping or garnish, it’s made with chillies, nuts, seeds and garlic toasted in a blend of sunflower and olive oil until crisp. This condiment has its roots in Veracruz, home of the smoky chipotle chilli. It is medium-hot with a rich, nutty flavour and a hint of mellow garlic. You can add it to marinades, shake it with oil for a spicy salad dressing or swirl it through sour cream as a spicy dip for potato wedges.
